FOREWORD
'PREMA DHAARA'
is primarily a collection of letters from Bhagawan to His students. It gives us
glimpses of the sweet bond between Bhagawan and His students. Words of wisdom
suffused with love give these messages the quality of nectar. This compendium
is published as a mark of our gratitude to Bhagawan for His loving kindness and
care. The Teacher of teachers is constantly guiding humanity from the depths of
worldly life to the heaven of freedom. If there is anything that a Sai student
can do, it is only because there is nothing that Mother Sai cannot teach them.
Compiled by J.
Venkatraman of III Year B.Com. (1992-1993 Batch) with the help of his teachers,
the effort will find fulfilment when this Shower of Divine Love drenches and
sanctifies the hearts of one and all.

Dear, Dear Loved One, You ask:
How will you know when I am near you?
When on a sultry
night
Everything is hot and still
The first cool breeze
Brushes your cheeks
I am caressing you
Think of me.
When the pangs of hunger are satisfied
And loneliness is pierced by happiness
Think of me.
When your mouth is parched
And you can hardly speak
The first sip of cool water
I am soothing you
Think of me.
When the cloud of death disappears
First on the opening of a baby's smiling eyes
Think of me.
When I sprinkle your face with rain
And wash the earth, the dry brown leaves
The first smell of clean rain
I am cleansing you
Think of me.
When pain dissolves
And fears disappear

When steadfast eyes are horrified
By the cruelties of life
The first glance of the silent setting sun
I am comforting you

Then you ask:
How will you know when you are near Me?
When the burning sun
Has scorched you and the earth
The sand and dust fill your eyes
Not a sliver of shade about
And you love me.
When loneliness is accompanied by hunger
And not one can be satisfied
And you love me.
When your lips are cracked
Your tongue feels like clay
Your throat seals up
There is no water about
Not even a mirage in sight
And you love me.
When you hold a dying child
With eyes pleading
And you love me.
When I stir the ocean to a crescent
You flounder in its depth like a leaf
And you love me.
When pain becomes unbearable
You smile
And you love me.
When I take from you
Your most cherished possession
On the first loss of your sight
Darkness envelops you
And you love me.
For everything you
see, hear, smell, taste or touch belongs to me. So, how can you give to me what
I already Am but your Love? And THAT I gave to you before time began as your
sole possession. When you return it to ME, then I will know you are truly mine
and I will dissolve your sorrow and happiness into ME. That... being ME, I will
place you in Bliss forever. For, I love you and think of you constantly.

Children of Humanity!
Remember that you are created
in My image and likeness.
Perfect!
Live up to this image, in every way, in all planes.
Live like Masters!
Walk this earth with your heads held high.
Your spirits soaring...
Your hearts open to love...
And believe in yourself and God within you.
Then all will go well.
Earth is but a manifestation of My Being.
Made out of My Life!
Wherever you look, I am there.
Wherever you walk, I am there.
Whomsoever you contact, I am that person.
I am in each, in all My Splendour.
See Me everywhere.
Talk to Me and Love Me, I am in each.
Then, from each, I will respond
And bring you into Glory.
You cannot see Me in one place
And not in another, for I fill all space.

For there are no secrets with Me.

With My laws, and wonders will ensue!
Think now. Does error clog the free flowing
Essence of My Being through you?
Ask Me this moment to reveal to you your errors,
In the silence of your meditation.
Let old memories well up in you,
From My subconscious in you...

Old forgotten feelings and thoughts.
Now plunge them into the Ocean of Light,
Burn them from the consciousness,
So that you may be
True emblems of My Being.
Right now,
Visualise my burning Flame
Rising higher and higher
As it burns through you.
It is a flame that is cooling,
Cleansing and healing;
That soothes the hidden sorrow...
And leaves you calmed and quiet.
Rest in My Love.
Let all that you have been through
In your many lives up to this day,
Melt away in My Redeeming Light

Dissolve your sorrows and fears in Me.
Let me efface all your Karma.
Come back into My Consciousness, which is
Your own true consciousness.
Let your petty human self-fade away, right now,
As you come to Me, who am your Inner Self.

Melt with Me... Merge with Me... Become Me!
Education is complete when one is
Perfectly clean inwardly and outwardly.
Ignorance is the greatest curse in life.
Ignorance is the greatest burden in life.
Ignorance is the greatest darkness in disguise.
Ignorance causes misery in life.
"Blind" is not he who does not see;
"Blind" is one who is disinclined to see.
"Ego" is the root cause of all troubles.
Let the ego go; gone are all our troubles.

My Dears,
Sai is Love. He is
compassion and kindness itself. He is ever dwelling in the hearts of you all.
To trust Him means freedom from all anxiety, fear and doubts. He is you,
all-in-all. When you have such a Lord of the Universe to depend upon, why
should you be afraid or anxious about anything? His great assurance should
always sustain you and infuse into you courage, strength, peace and joy. He
says, "Lo! To those who worship Me alone, thinking of no other, I bring
full security." He does everything for your best. No condition is
miserable for you, if you have full faith in this truth.
Kings, and potentates
are unhappy in spite of their wealth and external glory, because of their lack
of faith in the beneficent providence of God. The Almighty Lord of the world,
seated in your hearts, is the sole doer. You are mere puppets. Let Him make you
dance as He wills. Yours is not to question "Why?'' Difficulties and
worries are not due to outside causes. They are due to a mind not surrendered
unto God.

You will not, you will not,
You will not go
However bad I be.
Will you, my Lord, let me waste my years?

However dull I be.
Will you my Lord, let me run or ruin?

You cannot but rush to rescue Your own,
You cannot delay for weighing pro and con;
You cannot but respond to the prayers of the
poor.
My Dears!
The time will come
when the whole of this dream will vanish. To everyone of us there must come a
time when the whole universe will be found to have been a mere dream, when we
shall find that the soul is infinitely better than its surroundings. In this struggle
through what we call environments, there will come a time when we shall find
that these environments were almost zero in comparison with the Power of the
Soul. It is only a question of time, and time is nothing in the infinite. It is
a drop in the ocean. We can afford to wait and be calm.

Try to identify the
One in the many; become strong, physically, mentally
and spiritually; imbibe as much as possible the wisdom that has
been gathered in the past; cultivate the skills by
which you can serve society.

You as body, mind or
soul are a dream, but what you really are, is Existence – Knowledge – Bliss.
You are the God of the Universe. You are creating the whole Universe and
drawing it in. To gain the Infinite Universal identity, the miserable little
prison of individuality must go. Bhakti is not crying nor any other negative
condition. It is recognising the One in all that we see.
It is the heart that
takes you to the goal. So, follow your heart. A pure heart seeks beyond the
intellect and gets inspired. Whatever we do will react upon us. If we do good,
we shall have happiness and if evil, unhappiness. Within you is the mighty
ocean of nectar divine. Seek it within you, feel it, free it. It is the Self;
not the body, mind nor intellect. It is neither the desire nor the desiring,
and not even the object of desire.
You are above all
these which are just manifestations: You must appear as a smiling flower or a
twinkling star. What is there in the world which makes you
desire it?

Boys!
Through the awareness
of the Divine alone can we really bring true peace to the world. There is no
doubt that considerable effort is being made by great leaders of the world in
the material plane to bring about peace and harmony. But Sai does not see any
sign of their success.
The only way left is
for us to tum our mind within ourselves and find out the true and everlasting
basis, the Supreme Source, from which alone can we get true happiness and peace
in the world. The basis is God, who is in fact dwelling in the hearts of
everyone of us. He is the Universal Spirit.
Everyone of us is the
very embodiment of Divinity. Your true being is Sath-Chit-Ananda, representing
ExistenceConsciousness-Bliss. You have forgotten this truth. Remember it now,
and take the holy and powerful name of the Reality until your mind disappears
and you stand revealed as Truth itself, and enjoy, as Sai has been enjoying,
that Eternal Bliss which never exhausts itself.

I shall be ever with
you, wherever you are, guarding you and guiding you. March on; have no fear. – Baba
"Where there is
a will, there is a way," is absolutely true. At first the will is your
own. It has to be strengthened by the assent· of God until you convert it into
the Almighty Will of God. You seem to be playing a particular game which you do
not really desire to give up. You can change the game, if you will. You are not
weak and helpless. Every strength and power is within you. God-vision is yours
the very instant you will it with concentration. But you do not will it, simply
because you don't choose to.
Sai is not mocking.
He is perfectly earnest. He is giving expression to the truths gathered from
the depths of experience. "Trust in and submission to the Supreme Will in
all circumstances," means the Vision of Truth, the Vision of the Root
Principle of All Creation. When you say, "If God wills," it must mean
that you assert your own all-powerful Will. The solution therefore is to awaken
the inherent power and splendour of your soul. Do it.
Boys! You are verily
the Immortal Truth, the great deathless and changeless Reality. May victory be
ever yours.

You must all
understand
well the affection that Sai you is must showering
on you. His caring for you, His tender children.
You and your teachers are destined to achieve
tremendous tasks under My guidance, in the executing of the Mission for which I
have come.
My Dears!
Accept my Blessings
and Love. The fruit is sweet even if the rind can be bitter. For, after all, it
is the juice of the orange and the sugar content of the sugar cane that counts.
Remove the rind of anger, malice, envy and greed and assimilate the goodness of
virtues so that its sweetness can develop within you. Be like the lotus. Even
though it emerges from slime and mud it rises up above the water and remains
untouched by it and does not allow itself to get wet: Be like the lotus or the
lily of the pond and remain unattached.
Life itself is a
market, a kind of business. There is the receiving and the giving, buying and
selling, bargaining and speculating with their associated ups and downs,
profits and losses, joys and sorrows, depreciations and appreciations and
balance sheets - all part of a game. But the giving of Bhakti in exchange for
Mukhi is the most powerful business of all.
There are three types
of men: those who consider the pleasure of others first and thereby derive
pleasure of their own, those who seek pleasures for themselves only with no
attention paid to the pleasures of others, and those who try to
prevent others from getting pleasures or benefits even at the cost of their
own.

Man has the rare good
fortune of being able to adore Nature as the body of God and offering grateful
worship to God. But, is he conscious of God being the source and sustenance?
Does he give God the first place in his thoughts which is His due? Or is he
engaged in the activities of life in total disregard of God?
It is a pity that,
instead of paying attention to. God, Nature and Man in that order, men today
are concerned most with themselves, more with Nature and very much less with
God. From birth to death, from dawn till night, man pursues fleeting pleasures
by the exploitation, the despoiling and the desecration of Nature, ignoring the
truth that it is the property of God, the Creator, and any injury caused to it
is a sacrilege which merits dire punishment.

Sri R…
…as such, if it is
possible, I will reach the Brindavan before Wednesday evening. It is only the
thoughts, emotions and impulses witch the boys are expressing at Brindavan
which are pulling Me towards that place. It is their pining away which has sort
of got transformed into penance. They have seen to it that My mind and heart
have melted. Convey this to the boys. – Baba
(A model prayer to
MOTHER SAI given during Dasara by the 'Mother', Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba)
Mother Sai, we are
all children within Thy womb. As the Mother lovingly bears the hammerings of
the embryo, Thou, too, in Thy Supreme Patience and Compassion, dost put up with
the painful knocks we give Thee by our misdeeds. Thou art the Mother cheerfully
doing everything only for our sake, Thy Children.
As Mother Durga, Thou
dost drive away our difficulties and protect us;
As Mother Saraswathy,
endows us with wisdom;
As Mother Lakshmi,
gives us the treasure of wealth in correct measure;
As Mother Annapooma,
fondly dost feed us.
Even without our
entreaties, children that we are, Thou wilt bless us of Thy own accord, with
the right things at the right time. However, for our own satisfaction we pray.
Pray, feed us with the dishes of devotion for the heart, and victuals of wisdom
for the brain. Grant us the vision to realise that Thou art the one power
immanent everywhere in everything.
I suppose all the
boys in the hostel are happy. Is the discipline being properly maintained?
Exercise some control in regard to your thoughts, words and actions. Understand
and carry out Sai's Command. Work hard and study with interest. Do not let down
your parents in their hopes and expectations but strive to make them happy.
Studying in Sai's college, staying in Sai's Nilayam and being frequently in
Sai's company, you should feel Sai's presence everywhere: It is only when you
understand and assimilate Sai's ideals of living that Sai's Grace is showered
on you.
In My presence you
display utmost obedience and reverence, but in my physical absence you indulge
in careless and vulgar actions. You may think that they are for your good but
the truth is not hidden from ·Me. Understand that Sai is Omnipresent. If you really
feel that Sai resides in your heart, then Sai's wish should be carried out in
all your actions. If not it will be understood that you do not believe that Sai
resides in your heart.
Sai is your Thaai,
Maai, Aayi. So, do not give room to any ill feelings but conduct yourselves
towards one another as brothers would.
Convey my blessings
to… – Baba
There was no one to
know who I Am till I created this world at My pleasure, with one word.
Immediately mountains rose up, rivers started running, earth below and sky over
its head, oceans, seas, lands and watersheds, sun, moon and desert sands sprang
up from nowhere to prove My existence. Then came all forms of human beings,
mankind, beasts and birds, speaking, hearing and flying, and all powers were
bestowed upon them under My orders. The first place was granted to mankind and
My knowledge was placed in his mind.
Come one, come all.
Let us not be called ungrateful. Let us faithfully serve Him and Love Him, Love
Him, Love Him.

To all the Boys in
the Hostel:
How are you? You are
very happy because I am not there. No. No. I am here, there and everywhere.
Swami is Love, Love is Swami. Therefore, Love is there. There are two kinds of
love, Personal and Impersonal. Personal love relates to the physical part of the
being while the Impersonal relates to the spiritual. Life is intended for the
practise of Impersonal Love. When this Love is revealed in your heart you would
realise the wonderful Universal Truth, the Spirit of Existence, which is called
God.
To devote yourself to
Swamiji in order to realise Him means shedding your individual sense and
knowing that you are the Universal Truth and Spirit. This is possible only when
you transcend the individual sense or the ego sense in you. The ego sense is
the cause of your unhappiness, bondage and misery in the world.
"Sai
Krishna" through Geeta has asked you to surrender yourself to the Divine
completely and be free from the ego sense. When the ego sense is eliminated you
shall have Universal vision and, based on that vision, you love all alike. God
is love and He dwells in love. In one who dwells in God, God dwells in him. God
as love is dwelling in your hearts arid therefore, the Kingdom of Heaven is
within you. When you realise this Truth in the freshness and beauty of the
Immortal spirit, your life will sing the music of love.

Dear Boys,
How are you all? Are
you pursuing the same old habits or has there been any change? Has there been
any acquisition of noble ideas and ideals? In winnowing, the dry outer
coverings are removed from the grain. Similarly, you should also separate and
isolate. the seeds of bad thoughts and emotions from the good and healthy ones.
Let not the seeds of bad thought sprout anywhere near you. At least from this
Sankranthi day onwards, live up to the word you've given to Swami and walk
along the flowery path shown by Sai. Receive in full Sai's Grace and Love. Lead
your life with good thoughts, good inclination and good ideals. Strive to
attain the fruits of your studies. Sai is your "Hridayasthaayi."
Sai is the One who grants your wishes. It is this Sai, Who is your Thaai:
Sai Mother.

My Dears!
Accept My Blessings
and Love. Each one from ego takes his birth, and clad in ego dies, comes and
goes, gives and receives, earns and spends, and deals in lies or speaks the
truth, in ego all the while. Heaven and hell and Incarnations, all these from
ego are not free. Those who do away with their ego attain salvation. The Lord
is ever true, and is higher than the highest. But you must crush your ego and
realise Him. He is in you, with you and around you. Be happy.

Dears!
A little knowledge is
dangerous and makes one conceited. It causes one's downfall. Ego is the root
cause of all troubles.
Realising is
'resting.' Laziness is 'rusting.' Is it not the truth? Surrender of the
disciple and the Blessings of the Swamiji (God) smoothe the path of
Self-realisation. Life without Swamiji is like a boat without rudder. Churning
the mind with self-enquiry gives the cream of Knowledge. Without this the
spiritual knowledge will not enter the 'mind-pot,' just as water cannot be
collected in an inverted pot. Love is the manifestation of the Self-illumined.
Man's heart is the temple of the Divine. Don't inflame it with ideas of mine
and thine.
"Time lost is
life lost.” Doing one's duty, however small, in an unattached manner gives rise
to the awakening of Self-awareness. Ego is limiting and pushing one into
darkness. Truth is the flame of life which helps one to reach the peak of
attainment! The angry do not go to hell but inflame hell fire wherever they
are. Water does not stay in a basket and wisdom does not stay in the passionate
mind. Mind is like a dog and wanders without any objective.
This is My Love.

My Boys,
Goodness is not false
or impossible but is the one factor which gives the real value of life. Life
without goodness is not real life but only a sense of the destructive dance of
the evil forces which shall draw individuals into grief Goodness is the way to
true happiness. In the ultimate analysis, there is no separate entity such as
goodness. It (goodness) attains the relative plane where duality is transcended
- no question of pairs of opposites arises. Goodness is the virtue or conduct
which does not violate the oneness of. all life.
Boys! Why does God
command good acts? There is no question of command from God. He has ·given all
human beings a greater or lesser measure of intelligence and reason and He has
also endowed man with conscience. When man exercises all the three gifts of God
properly, he will find that all his deeds are directed towards goodness. ln
other words, God doesn't interfere or place any specific command on the nature
of action done by anyone. He has left man to do as he likes.
But, goodness is the
real nature of man who is only an Image of God. This fact naturally gives a
heart to man towards doing good and punishes him with remorse if he swerves
from the path of goodness. Man does not live by bread only, he lives by the
spirit within him.
What is lawless law?
It is a rule of conduct laid down and enforced by mere might and not based on
any spiritual considerations.

Beauty is not an
independent value but is the manner in which the mind of a subject is affected
by an external form which acts as a counterpart of the taste present in the
subject.
Objects appear
beautiful as long as there is a demand for them from within. When there is no
desire, there is no special beauty in anything. It is maya that objectifies
beauty.
Beauty is not skin
deep. Beauty lies in the virtuous deed.

Truth, Righteousness, Equanimity and Love are held before you, all the time, I
am sure you have imbibed them, and I bless you that, by your example, propagate
them wherever you are.

My Dear Boys!
Are you feeling my
presence in the very cells of your body? God you think, God you are. Dust you
think, dust you are. Verily thoughts are things. As you think; so you become.
What you sow, so you reap.
Spiritual development
does not germinate from the seeds sown in the soil of earthly pleasures. Every
action in the form of hatred or evil is so much loss to the mind, and every
evil thought or deed of hatred or any thought of reaction, if controlled, will
be laid in your favour. It is not that we lose by restraining ourselves, but we
are gaining infinitely more than we suspect. Each time we suppress hatred or a
feeling of anger, it is so much good energy stored up in our favour. That piece
of energy is converted into the highest powers.
God is Love.

Be as devoted and
disciplined as Arjuna. Be as intelligent and strong as Bhima. Be steadfast and
sincere like Dharmaraja. Then, no harm can come to you; you
will achieve victory in all your efforts.
Dear Boys!
Wish you happy and
peaceful New Year. What is the happiest day in your life? All are happy days to
a person of true knowledge. Happiness is an internal conscious experience which
comes as an effect of the extinction of mental or physical desire. The lesser the
desire, the greater is the. happiness, so that perfect happiness consists in
the destruction or satisfaction of all desires in the absolute being. Life is
an experience meant to train the individual for a higher, deeper and expanded
state of existence through the experience of the results of action. The aim of
everybody's life is the attainment of complete perfection in the Spiritual
Absolute.
Prema is not an
illusion. It is a reality and actuality for those who have realised oneness in
life.
What is man's dearest
possession apart from his life? One's dearest possession is one's own true Self
and there is no permanently dear thing apart from that.
God is great, all
others are mere dust. God only is real and great. Everything else is unreal and
valueless. I go further to say that God only exists and there is nothing second
to Sai (God).

Dear Boys,
Let every human being
remake himself Let us understand that we live not for money making, not for
fulfilling our wants, not for scholarly and intellectual pursuits, but for
spiritual development. Effects of karmas of the past have to be effaced
with karmas backed by Prema. Every karma must have a background of
Prema. It is only in this world that spiritual progress can be made.
Annihilation of the ego and dissolution of desires can be made here and now.
Conquer desires, the little "i" feeling, vaasanaas, vikaaraas,
raaga and dwesha. All these have built this world of appearances
and illusions.
Fill
the heart with the Light of Prema so that the evil qualities of hate, greed and
conceit find no place therein. In winnowing, the dry outer coverings are
separated from the grain. So, too, you should separate the bad thoughts and
emotions from the good and healthy ones.
From this Sankranthi day onwards, walk along the flowery path shown Sai.
Receive in full Sai's
Grace and Love. Sai is your Hridayasthaayi. Sai is the One who Blesses
your life with Peace. Sai is the One who grants your wishes.
It is this Sai, who is your Thaai
(Mother).

great transformation in outlook, a great revolution. Have the good that the
World expects from you in mind. And stabilise in yourselves the two qualities
of renunciation and character.

Dear Boys!
Accept my Blessings
and Love. In today's world, so full of people who are selfish, unloving and
unloved, this brand of atheism is almost a religion.
What is the Self? Is
it the self that says, "Not I?" For, if it says so, then it is the
unreal Self, since the real Self has no thought of itself. The real Self is the
selfless Self, the Self that has no thought either of or for Itself.
It is the Self that
has forgotten Itself because somehow it remembers Itself only in others. It is
the Self that seeks the truth without a thought of self because truth is
Selfless Wisdom. It is the Self that is quiet because quietness is the
cessation of self through the wordlessness of the mind. It is the Self in
wordless meditation, because wordless meditation is the stopping of the mind
through union with the Divine.
It is the Self that
does not judge, does not evaluate, does not compare, does not condemn, does not
separate, does not seek security of any kind and does not even seek Itself. It
is the Self that has completely abolished itself and yet in a strange and
mystical fashion is never more complete, never more real, never more itself
than it has ever been. This is the real Self.
God is Love. Love is
Selflessness. Selflessness is the abolition of all sense of selfhood and
separateness, all thoughts of you, all identification with the isolative life
of the counterfeit being called. Self is separateness. Separateness is the denial
wholeness. Wholeness is God.
The denial of God is
Godlessness, God privation, atheism. Atheism, therefore, as now understood, is
not the denial of this or that religion, or the denial of this or that concept
of God, it is rather denial of a life of love which is the
nature of God. It is the assertion of the life of self which
is negation of the Being of God. In short, real atheism is the denial of love,
the assertion of selfishness.
The Godward process,
called self-sacrifice, in its most real essence, is Love. For, God is love and
love alone can lead to Him. The most Godly act is the act of love. So, the most
Godless act is the act of non-Love or hate. But hate, which is separateness,
can arise only when there is selfishness or self-fulness. Thus, it comes to pass
that the most Godless, loveless, atheistic act is the act of selfishness or
self-fulness.
Love must be
completely selfless to be Godward, to be Divine. Its creation must be “the
beloved first"; its technique must be, "your happiness not
mine". This way to happiness is the forgetting of oneself and the
remembering of God (Sai Krishna).
Whatever we do reacts
upon us. If we do good, we shall have happiness and if evil, unhappiness.
Within you is the real happiness, within you is the mighty ocean of the nectar
divine. Seek it within you, feel it, free it. It is here, the Self; it is not
the body, the mind, the intellect nor the brain; it is not the desire nor the
desiring. It is not the object of the desire. Above all these, you are. All
these are simply manifestations. You appear as the smiling flower, as the
twinkling stars. What is there in this world which can make you desire
anything?
It is the pure heart
that reaches the goal. Follow the heart. A pure heart seeks beyond the
intellect. It gets inspired.

swaroop...
And get Ananda... and give Ananda...
And get Prema... and give Prema...
And to whom am I to give Ananda...
And to whom am I to give Prema...
So I did this... I separated Myself from

My Dear Boys!
Accept My Blessings
and Love. Even if every attempt of ours is a failure, and we weep and are tom
asunder, yet, through all this we have to preserve our heart. We must assert
our God-hood in the midst of all these difficulties. Nature wants us to react, to
return blow for blow, cheating for cheating, lie for lie, to hit back with all
our might. Then it requires a Super Divine power not to hit back, to keep
control and to be unattached.
Dear Boys! We require
no one else to make us happy for we are happiness itself. The first sign that
you are becoming religious is that you are becoming cheerful. When a man is
gloomy that may be dyspepsia (indigestion), but it is not religion. My dear
Boys, today I am with you, in you. Be happy.

My Dear Boys!
Accept My Blessings
and Love. Watch your words, watch your action, watch your heart. Character is
power. Patience is all the strength that a boy needs. Sai is not far from you,
or away in some distant place. He, is within you; in your own inner altar. Man
suffers, he is unable to discover Him there and draw peace and joy from that
discovery.
Boys! A loveless
heart is a dry desert: Love is the foundation of life. The air that is inhaled
and exhaled has to be loved in order that it may replenish and revive.

After long searches
here and there, in temples and in churches, in earths and in heavens, at last
you come back, completing the circle from where you started, to your own soul
and find that He, for whom you have been seeking all over the world, for whom
you have been weeping and praying in churches and temples, on whom you were
looking as the mystery of all mysteries shrouded in the clouds, is nearest of
the near, is your own Self, the reality of your life, body and soul. That is
your own nature. Assert it; manifest it. It is the Truth and Truth alone that
is one's real friend and relative. Abide by the Truth, tread the path of
Righteousness and not a hair of your body will ever be injured.
Meditation is nothing
else but rising above desires. Renunciation is the power of battling against
evil forces and holding the mind in check.
