Key Information and Schedule for the Centenary Celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba's Advent in Puttaparthi

The main celebrations in Puttaparthi were scheduled from November 13 to 24, 2025, with the most significant events taking place closer to the birth date, November 23.

  • Theme: The global theme for the centenary celebrations was "Purity is Enlightenment."

  • Attendance: It was expected that approximately 300,000 to 400,000 devotees would visit Puttaparthi during the 12-day period, with daily attendance exceeding 100,000 during the main events.

  • Special App: A mobile application called "SAI 100" was launched to provide the daily program schedule and details regarding event venues.

  • Preparations: To accommodate the massive number of visitors, extensive infrastructure and beautification projects were undertaken, including road upgrades and landscaping.

November 18 - Rathotsavam (Chariot Festival) & Sita Kalyanam

Traditional chariot procession, marking the official commencement of the Birthday celebrations.

November 19 - Ladies' Day & Inaugural Ceremony

Attended by the Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi. Scheduled release of a commemorative 100-rupee coin and a postage stamp.

November 20–22 - 11th Sri Sathya Sai World Conference

Focused on the centenary theme, held at Sai Kulwant Hall. Addresses were delivered by various Governors and State Chief Ministers.

November 22 - 44th SSSIHL Convocation & Visit of Dignitaries 

The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu, attended a special session. The Vice President of India, Mr. C. P. Radhakrishnan, was the Guest of Honour at the Convocation.

November 23 - Grand Centenary Celebration (Birthday)

Morning: Swarna Rathotsavam (Golden Chariot Procession) at Sri Sathya Sai Hill View Stadium.

Evening: Jhoola Mahotsavam (Swing Festival), featuring a drone, laser, and pyrotechnic show, and a musical performance by the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.
