Bangaru
Swami very often calls His devotees, Bangaru....
Bangaram in Telugu means Gold. And Bangaru means embodiments of Bangaram,
the gold. It is always blissful, to have a chance to be called by Bhagavan as
Bangaru.
I wish to narrate a wonderful situation during the days when the Gold
foil fixing works were going on in Sai Kulwant Hall. After the foils were fixed
with the epoxy, the workers would brush them so that the excess lose gold
flakes could be removed from the surface. The weightless flakes would be floating
in the air. Much of them will get deposited on the hair, face and upper side of
the workers’ body, and will be sparkling
with gold flakes. The devotees sitting for morning darhsan in the hall,
used to feel extremely happy to pick up the loose gold flakes from the floor.
One day the workers came down from the scaffoldings and stood across
Swami’s path folding their hands. Swami looked at them all, elaborately with
mischievous smile on His face. He turned towards me and quipped, “I call my devotees,
Bangaru. But here these boys are covered full of Gold. Real Bangarus! Ha...
ha.... ha... ha....”, Swami started laughing aloud enjoying himself on the joke
uttered by Himself.
Me too enjoyed the situation and joined Bhagavan in the laughter. Don’t
you think these are some rare Divine occasions?
